“ Injuries that don’t fully heal cause many talented athletes to give up their careers.

With Lee-Anne’s special neurological ‘rewiring’ techniques, this needn't happen.

I bring a Brain Damaged client personally to see Lee-Anne fortnightly with unbelievable results. At the end of one session I was rubbing my shoulder and Lee-Anne offered to have a look. It was a frustrating weakness that hadn’t healed properly for a number of years and I held back from competing at the level of football that I was capable.

She told me that through a traumatic injury to my shoulder that my brain had set up a ‘reactive loop’, to protect my body from further damage and my brain didn’t know how to ‘reset the circuits. I could feel my muscles suddenly strengthening up and my flexibility returning almost instantly. In five minutes that we had, my shoulder felt heaps better.

Two months later, I haven’t had any further problems with my shoulder, it’s back to it’s old strength and I’m playing confidently and enjoying my game again.

I’m always well supported by Lee-Anne during my brain damaged clients session, where she teaches and expands my way of thinking about injuries and how looking for the root cause rather than just treating symptoms has profound and long lasting effects. My way of thinking about injuries and my physiotherapy own client treatment ideas have totally changed. My physiotherapy has changed forever .”

Elite Sports and Academic Performance
Swimming time improved 30% - Study Exam marks improved 30%
*Jo, is a top 'National' swimmer. He was having great difficulty focussing on his study, had large anxieties about not achieving and was failing exams. Even though he'd just won a National swimming title, he was constantly injured, always exhausted and no longer enjoying his sport, school or social life. He was depressed and considered in the 'at risk' adolescent group by the school psychologist, lacking motivation for anything even socially. He felt that his only option was to 'give up' his studies even though he was a very capable and intelligent person.

We concentrated on turning Jo's self esteem and school studies first. We knew that the renewed success here would also increase his happiness and motivation in the pool. After a few sessions, we'd cleared a lot of the emotional and neurological 'blocks'. He began to feel more confident in all areas of school as the anxiety reduced and marks lifted. We continued working and it wasn't long before he was feeling happy, motivated and succeeding academically again.

We began to look at his times and bilateral movement on his swimming strokes. It was obvious that he was losing power in the last 30 degree of all his strokes. The same 'lost' 30%' and 'completion' pattern that we'd discovered in other areas of his life. In one session, we corrected two strokes and Jo's times instantly improved 30% in the pool.

His coach drug tested him, not believing his sudden speed increase, energy and relaxed smile.

NOTE: *Jo's emotional and physical 'Stress', restricted the full function and range of movement / extension of his 'power' muscles. These muscles were simply 're-patterned / re-wired' and restored to their optimal capacity!

We then needed to correct the loss of power in secondary muscle groups and 'rewired / reinstated / strengthened' the neural connections to full function. This also corrected his chronic and recurring injuries. His performance and speed in the pool not only increased 'instantly', so did his attitude and sense of self.

The missing 30% 'patterned' in his subconscious mind operated like a failure 'switch' that was hidden and uncontrollable. Once identified, he was willing to correct these now' hard wired' beliefs, changing his health, sport and exam performance, mental attitude towards himself which changed his life.
*(Name changed to 'Jo' to protect his public profile).

This young man is now noticeable happy, self confident, achieving highly with his school studies, swimming and socially. He's now empowered in all other areas of his life to be the best that he can be.

This is not an uncommon story in my clinic.

Often we have destructive, unconscious patterns of stress, that keep repeating themselves and sabotaging relationships or situations. We become frustrated, lose efficiency, often resulting in poor communication, relationship problems or break down and failure in many areas of our lives.
Most Learning difficulties and stresses in our worlds can be simply discovered and 're-wired' leaving us free to be relaxed, successfully, happy, have great relationships and to enjoy our gifts. By using the power of our brain's neuroplasticity and Epigenetic's , anything is possible!

*This young man ‘s name has been kept private due to his qualifying at the Olympic level... He has given permission to use his story with the wish that it will motivate other elite athletes to never
give up.

"My experience of Lee-Anne Macleod's teaching within our school was inspiring. Her delivery was personal, fun and tailor made to suit our 'small town school' community. She taught us Brain Gym 101 adapting as she went to our many questions with the passion of an experienced teacher who knows how to work with teacher's, children and parents in the most efficient, effective and fun manner. I would highly recommend this gifted teacher to any school, parent or student.

“From a young man who had several behavioural challenges, struggling to think for himself, to a confident, assertive man who now holds down a job. His employer said: “We wish we had 10 Peter’s as he’s such a great worker.”

“Our son has Downes Syndrome and is eighteen. We started seeing Lee-Anne about two years ago. Peter also goes to a Naturopath and Brain Gym with Lee-Anne was recommended by the Doctor as a treatment for some Autistic and behavioural problems.

We’ve gone from the teachers having to put behavioural plans in place to manage him on his bad days, to the teachers saying he’s a pleasure to have in the class. We now generally have more good days than bad and are grateful for these changes. We enjoys his work and is proud of his efforts and job.

Peter is more settled and enjoys the Brain Gym with Lee-Anne as well as liking and choosing to do the exercises at home.”

Twelve months later: "Pete is employed with his employers loving him. He's focussed, valued and
effective in all the jobs he's given to do. He comes home smiling and motivated to go to work the next day.

We are so relieved and delighted that we now know our son has a comfortable future where he is of true value in the work force. This is all with thanks and gratitude to Lee-Anne."

“After suffering from Parkinson’s Disease for I5 years I was in a wheel chair and accustomed to being this way for the rest of my life, when I begun a ‘miraculous’ healing journey with Kinesiologic healing techniques and movements ….

During the New Year’s Eve Ball, I was inspired by the ambience & romance of the evening and stepped into the dance floor to dance with my wife & members of my family for several hours, including dancing to hectic & exciting music of the Beetles & Latin American, without my wheel chair or walking sticks !! What an enchanting evening. Many thanks Lee-Anne.”

I worked with Hong for seven years and noted that he'd make significant progress with his thoughts, memory and movement when his stress levels were reduced.

The first thing that I'd help him with each session was not only reducing his stress levels but in skilling him further in the management of his stress.

Over the years, I used many different therapies and Kinesiology techniques and found that Brain Gym was the most consistently empowering and helpful therapeutic system on all levels of his life.

When he became complacent about doing his 'Home support' techniques, this is when her became more paranoiac and regressed with his physical movement. At times it was easier for him to use his wheel chair as his level of home help was high and complacency was a desired solution.

With constant sessions, support and eventual education of his 'carers' we made consistent and huge gains.

I'm always grateful for this amazing learning experience and the gift of being able to help such a gentle man to improve his mobility and lifestyle. What a blessing.

“I’m stable enough now to manage my Bi-Polar without medication. I’m comfortably controlling my Diabetes, with minimal effort. This was not the case six months ago. I’m a 44 year old male with a number of health problems.

I was a very ill man who had severe Bi-Polar mood swings, anxiety, wasn’t able to hold down a job for more than a week, had never had a stable relationship, had regular hospitalisations and was still living at home with my parents.

I know that I’m not stupid. I just wasn’t able to take control of my life for more than a few days at a time. My sessions began with Lee-Anne and within a week, I was sable for four days, then the next week this extended to five. within a month, I’d nervously applied for a job that I was able to be functional in for a month longer than any other. I met a really nice girl and was able to not ‘go high’ and blow it out of the water like before in just a couple of days.

Six months after treatment began with Lee-Anne MacLeod. I’m still working at the same place, out performing some of my colleagues and still have the same girl friend. I’m thinking of buying my own home unit and if I continue to do well, I’ll be moving in and for the first time in my 44 years, will be healthy and independent. I’ve begun studying IT at TAFE at night and enjoying using my mind too. My parents and family have noticed large differences and are proud of me in a way that I haven’t experienced for a very long time."

"Now two years later, I'm married, living independently with my new wife, my heath has remained stable and I'm very happy. I haven't needed any further treatment from Lee-Anne for the last 15 months either, as she's skilled me in so many ways to help myself consistently now.

I could never have dreamed or believed that I could do so well when conventional medicine and traditional therapies couldn’t help me.

I am very grateful to Lee-Anne for her amazing skills and understanding of who I am and what I needed to heal and ‘buy back my life’.”

“We are managing the home exercises quite well to help Emily's social issues and Dyspraxia. They are a joy to do and nice for the girls to do with me at the end of the day.”

“Hello Lee-Anne,

Thank you for all your great work during the holidays. Emily has made some wonderful progress. All very exciting.

After we had finished our sessions Emily managed to join a queue to go and ask and pay for her lunch on her own. This is fantastic because she usually refuses point blank unless Phoebe, her sister or myself go in line with her and help order and pay.

After this major stepping stone both girls went to the movies whilst I continued shopping in the shopping centre. They have never felt confident enough to sit in the movies without me, another adult or some older child. Not only that but they went and asked and paid for the tickets by themselves. Very exciting. Emily has shown a great deal more confidence and the incidence of shrugging shoulders and saying "I don't know" has lessened and mischievous humour is taking its place.

We are managing the home exercises quite well. They are a joy to do and nice for the girls to do with me at the end of the day.

So I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

“Caitlin’s speech was so unclear that her teacher couldn’t understand her quiet requests . Now, her language is clear, she confidently reads, writes and participates well at school. She is now more able to find the words that her brain previously struggled to connect to. Caitlin is happily confident at school and home in every way.

Now, after only 10 session with Lee-Anne, Caitlin is performing above average in class with reading, spelling and writing. She has clear communication with her teacher and friends who are not having any problems understanding her dictation. The frustration levels for her friends, teacher, family and Caitlin, have evaporated. She’s a confident little girl who has more friends, is happy and no longer being held back in fully expressing herself to us all.

<![CDATA[Dyslexia - plus plus plus]]>Mon, 04 Aug 2014 08:35:04 GMThttp://the-fusion-therapy.com/our-clients-blog/dyslexia-plus-plus-plusPicture
Our son is so much more confident and this is changing all our lives around him positively! At our last session, we are delighted to report that there are no longer any signs of his Dyslexia!

When we met Lee Anne a year ago. Our son had been diagnosed with Dyslexia for 2 years. We had moved to Australia the year before, partly because we knew there are good Dyslexia programs here. This had helped to some extent, but our son was still not settling in well at school; partly because he lacked self confidence in class with his new class mates (quite often hanging out with his younger brother’s friends), and partly because he was struggling to learn the reading and spelling of English words, even though he did have good English comprehension. After he sat for a battery of tests, his eye-blinking got so bad that he regularly bumped into items at home; this led us to a referral to Lee Anne by our local Doctor, GP.

What he’s learnt over the past year from Lee Anne:
•To enjoy drinking water
•To focus on the positive things he can achieve
•To stimulate his brain
•To relax his muscles
•To relax and focus when doing any tests at school
•To read, write and express himself in English accurately and easily
•To do maths competently and without anxiety
* To no longer think of himself as 'different' because he'd been given the label of 'dyslexia'.

He is now a much more confident and happier boy. He has made a good friends at school and has a group of class mates he hangs out with during break time. His reading and spelling has hugely improved. He enjoyed reading his first book by himself just a few months ago. In maths he is now in the top group of his class. In the weekends he enjoys playing hockey and soccer in a relaxed mood and has fun. His eye blinking stopped almost straight away and no longer bumps into things.

We are very proud of what he has achieved in the last year. Certainly, our bi-weekly visits to Lee-Anne have significantly contributed to his progress and changed our lives for the better. We are confident that his new look on life will stand him in good stead for a long time to come.

Again, thanks for all your help so far. Our son is so much more confident and this is changing all our lives around him in a positive sense!!!

At our last session, we are delighted to report that there are no longer any signs of his Dyslexia!

Connor was often out of control.

He had no friends and was even disliked and judged by his teachers.
After five sessions of Brain Gym with Lee-Anne, I finally had hope and glimpses of the ‘real boy’ I knew my ten year old son to be.

* We were able to have conversations where he didn’t always act out and blame everyone else.

* He was able to concentrate at school, make friends with the ‘nicer boys’ and settled well into his footy team as a team player. *

After ten sessions, Connor’s confidence was high, he's making and maintaining his friendships. He's improved with reading, writing and finally enjoying learning. He is now a different child.

I am so proud of his changes and the boy he’s becoming. We thank Lee-Anne every day for helping 'switch our boy on' and creating the opportunity for us to ‘find our son.’

"Wow. Harrison would never take a risk. He was so nervous about making mistakes, unhappy and constantly fearful. He had a tough entry to the world and we feel he has struggled ever since. Painfully we watched helplessly as nothing we tried worked. We now celebrate his achievements and risk taking on a daily basis. We as a family, have had a huge weight taken off our shoulders, our stress has dropped to such a degree that people tell me I look ten years younger. Now that was stress.
We are now all sleeping better and healthier. All aspects of Harrisons life have changed for the better. It's like a miracle.

We celebrate Harrison now being a real little boy and we are no longer fearful for his future.

The world has certainly opened up for Harrison. His eyes give him away. They show a sparkle that has been missing.
Harrison now sees the world as his playground for fun and adventure nd is no longer afraid.
We look at our recent holiday photos and we see genuine happiness and a care free child, just as it should be. Harrison has learnt the importance of being a child.

For all these achievements both the big and small, yes, even the 'cheeky', we thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
Harrison is certainly spreading his wings in the most beautiful and positive way. Thank you!"

Harrison: "On my first session with Lee-Anne, I couldn't write on normal paper. Then on the next session I could!
To start, I felt as though everything had to be perfect. Now I feel like everything is not as perfect and that is OK.
Before Lee-Anne, I would not of trusted my Mum and Dad about things. Now I can trust my Mum and Dad.
Before this I wouldn't taken safe risks. Before Brain Gym, I saw the world like it was so critical of me. Now I see the world like I'm it's friend.
Lee-Anne helps me feel emotions, happy, sad, tired and teary.
I'm glad that I found Lee-Anne, whose helped me discover the world and make it less scary."

<![CDATA[Autism - Donor's Story]]>Mon, 04 Aug 2014 07:58:34 GMThttp://the-fusion-therapy.com/our-clients-blog/autism-donors-storyPicture
One recent example that comes to mind is the case of a young three year old child diagnosed with Autism whose developmental growth had been halted at 18 months of age. She hadn't spoken, made any significant eye contact or had any real awareness of those around her, (including her mother), which of course was heart breaking for those who love her.

At her first visit, we cleared an emotional trauma. Immediately after her treatment, this little girl spun around to me, looked up at me with a big smile, with outstretched arms. I picked her up and greeted her. She then looked around to find her mother and called, "Mummy"! Her mother broke into tears, as her daughter walked over to her for her first 'real' hug and contact for 18 months! "Welcome to the world dear little one!"

After three months of treatment, this developmentally delayed little girl is catching up quickly. She makes lots of direct eye contact, conversation, creative play, social interaction. She has also found the classic "NO" of a young healthy child.

The best news is that she is no longer being classified as Autistic!

5 years later, I ran into Donors mother. She was so excited to tell me:
"Donor is now reading, writing, communicating at a normal age level and best of all she is in a normal, mainstream class and holding her own with other students. She is well adjusted socially and has a few lovely normal friends. She has just gone from strength to strength. Thanks Lee-Anne for changing Donors and my life permanently".

Bejamin's Story by Liz Holmes, Reg Nurse, Karratha, WA

"We have an adorable, affectionate and happy Globally Dyspraxic son Benjamin. He has been attending Occupational therapy, Speech therapy and Physiotherapy since he was 18mths old when he first began to miss developmental milestones. His progress was slow but steady. He has also suffered from chronic ear infections and had grommets inserted and removed. He exhibited a high level of motor activity and the Paediatrician suggested the possibility of ADHD as part of his long term picture. He actively sought physical contact almost continuously often using us and anyone available including complete strangers as climbing poles and very seldom sat still. His concentration span was short and variable and he woke often during the night disturbing the whole family's sleep.

A new teacher of one of Benjamin's siblings Gene Croft, who had had experience in teaching a Dyspraxic student over a number of years suggested I try Brain Gym and referred me to Lee-Anne. Being a Registered Nurse/Midwife and Intensive Care Nurse I thought I had a reasonable medical understanding of my son's diagnosis, and had never heard of Educational Kinesiology. Both my husband and I researched The Brain Gym websites and I spoke to some parents of Dyspraxic students who highly recommended the treatment.

Prior to meeting with Lee-Anne I read extensively texts she referred me to on Reflexes, Learning and Behaviour and felt for the first time in almost 4yrs that I had finally discovered the key to unlock our little man's potential. Somehow all the therapy we were so diligently attending too was frustratingly slow as if we were missing a vital link in the chain for what he needed.

On initial assessment Benjamin was highly excitable, mobile and difficult to pin down for any length of time, but by the third session with Lee-Anne he was visibly more relaxed, calmer within himself and actually lying still for her to manipulate and treat him. I certainly don't understand the magic Lee-Anne works on any level except to say that it has made a profound difference to Benjamin and our whole family. Since his third treatment he has slept through the night, a priceless development. This has had immeasurable positive effects on us all. He even wakes up happy now which he never did before seeing Lee-Anne some two months ago.

After only five short sessions with Lee-Anne, Benjamin's active seeking of constant sensory stimuli has ceased. His concentration span has increased markedly which has opened up a whole new world to both him and us. He is currently making great developmental gains in every area. Nothing short of a miracle! He is now wired to have all the therapy work as it was intended to. We are continuing a daily regimen of ten mins of Lee-Anne's specialised exercises with him. Most days he asks for and thoroughly enjoys these. We are so grateful for the opportunity Brain Gym and Lee-Anne's particular use of her specialised Kinesiology skills, has given us to maximise Benjamin's potential."

Skyla is doing really well, happy and balanced. You've done brilliantly with her Lee-Anne. She is focussed, getting great marks at school in all areas and showing no signs of stress despite it being the end of a long school term.

It was such a huge challenge for her to hear to learn and take in the information she needed to at school due to her constant ear infections and subsequent loss of hearing. Central Auditory Processing was a big issue. Hers and our frustration was HUGE as we knew she was a bright child but just not achieving!

Current: Just had her hearing tests done Friday - 'normal results' and her right ear drum is moving in sync with her left for the first time ever!! All down to your wonderful work Lee-Anne, THANK YOU!! Skyla has sailed through it all, barely got ill this winter and seems to be travelling well despite a hectic time with temporary digs at my parents place while we renovated our home. I am very proud of her!

A great thing also is that she is feeling as if she is moving happily along and coping well with life. We have seen a big change in attitude too and shes's taking on the responsibilities that turning 11 brings.

Thank you for all you have done to help her find her way to where she is now, I will always be grateful Lee-anne and still continue to recommend people to you.

Benjamin had severe Autism symptoms, poor eye contact, almost NO language and very poor gross, minor motor skills and social skills. He would only sleep for short periods of time disrupting the whole family.

I'm overwhelmed and delighted how fast these issues are turning around thanks to Lee-Anne MacLeod's specialised therapy support.

Benjamin continues to be wonderful, sleeping through the night and in general a lot calmer. The active sensory seeking pattern i.e.; climbing all over everyone at every opportunity is markedly reduced. He has also shown a remarkable increase in his receptive language following instructions almost immediately, accepting 'NO' for an answer without the usual whinging and all up, being a much happier, delightful little boy. He almost managed the whole of mat time on his cushion the other day – it deflated towards the end but a remarkable and very welcome improvement.

I have been fielding endless questions about the Brain Gym therapy, partly due to the changes and improvements in Benji and my flying down to Perth for his treatment with you.

An update, now three months later:Benj has made terrific progress in his posture and gross motor skills, now pedaling a bike like a demon and starting to independently mimic gestures to songs more consistently. Given this I have snow been able to include the Brain Gym cross lateral exercises that he is beginning to master with his daily regime. Lots of crawling on all fours and using hands to touch opposite sides of his body etc. This is much easier than before we'd have to manually do this for him.

His upper body strength has increased markedly so much so he is managing to crawl out on his hands when on the gym ball. We love your special 'Gym Ball' exercises.

With your help, I feel we will see more dramatic and sustained gains over the next twelve months. His chief deficit now remains speech, however he is progressing well with this with mores words and sentences each day.

My older son:
Sam has also made some terrific gains over the past semester most notably his handwriting has improved dramatically, as has his endurance when writing. He no longer complains of having a ‘hot’ hand when writing and his pencil grip is correct finally. He has also shown great progress in his gross and fine motor abilities and has been attending squad swimming training for the last term which he has thoroughly enjoyed.

Again…I am just so incredibly grateful for the changes in both of my our little men. Benji's increased ability to sit and pay attention for longer periods has opened a whole new world to him and us. THANKYOU!

<![CDATA[Bullying - "My heart was breaking for my son."]]>Sun, 20 Jul 2014 04:15:07 GMThttp://the-fusion-therapy.com/our-clients-blog/bullying-my-heart-was-breaking-for-my-sonPicture
Twelve months ago I arrived at Lee-Anne’s door an extremely worried and desperate parent of a beautiful and very individual six year old boy that I knew was incredibly bright but was struggling academically, socially and emotionally. Cameron at this time was incredibly unhappy at school, finding every aspect of it a huge and confronting challenge every day. His teachers were seeing the same block I was seeing with his learning and he was being excluded and bullied by the other children. He was also very aware of his learning difficulties which resulted in enormous amounts of frustration and low self esteem. He was stressed and dejected. My heart was breaking for him.

We’d been having regular Occupational Therapy sessions for two years and had made very little progress. I had been told that Cameron had mild Motor Planning problems but felt that this was only a small part of the picture. I began researching learning and developmental disorders and this led me to Lee-Anne. During our first appointment with her the relief I felt was remarkable – I finally had a sense of hope and optimism because I knew that for the first time someone was really “seeing” my son. Lee-Anne’s kind, understanding and extremely patient manner, along with her incredible knowledge and insight, switched on a light and the pieces of the puzzle began to fit.

We began having regular appointments with Lee-Anne and commenced a program at home of Brain Gym and Rhythmic movement exercises. The improvements were immediate. Cameron’s stress levels dropped dramatically, he became calmer and could express what he was feeling. He suddenly developed a strong ability to assert and stand up for himself. He was happier going to school, began participating in class activities and his confidence grew. The anxiety had lifted.

A year later and Cameron is a very happy and confident boy. His social relationships have improved out of sight – he now interacts well with other kids and his circle of friends is growing all the time. He is now much more co-coordinated and aware of his body and movement. He is able to fully express his feelings, thoughts and opinions about absolutely everything! He is full of enthusiasm for all he does (including school) and has an amazing sense of humour and ability to relate to people that is way beyond his years. We still have some way to go academically but when I look back to only a year ago and remember a little boy that had trouble remembering his ABC’s and today see that my son is beginning to read and write, I realise the gains have been massive. I am confident that by continuing on this path we will see him reach his full potential.

My son continues to enjoy his Brain Gym and Rhythmic movement exercises and loves his visits to Lee-Anne.

As a parent watching Cameron change, grow and develop through this process, I feel a joy that is indescribable.

I am incredibly grateful to Lee-Anne for all she has done to give my beautiful boy the chance he deserves to fully express himself, relate to others and learn.

<![CDATA[Open Heart Surgery - "Mia was up and out of hospital within two days. The surgeon said this was unprecedented for such serious surgery!"]]>Sun, 20 Jul 2014 03:06:56 GMThttp://the-fusion-therapy.com/our-clients-blog/open-heart-surgery-mia-was-up-and-out-of-hospital-within-two-days-the-surgeon-said-this-was-unprecedented-for-such-serious-surgeryPicture"She's active & happy"
My daughter Mia, at the age of 10, was diagnosed with an Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) in her heart. Basically, she had two holes in the wall in the middle of her heart and required open heart surgery to sew them up. Knowing the benefits of Kinesiology and also having seen Lee-Anne previously, I had no hesitation about taking Mia to see her. In the months leading up to her surgery date Mia visited Lee-Anne on several occasions and by the time the big day arrived, she was very well prepared. Surgery went smoothly, and Mia was soon in ICU and recovering. What happened next, to me, was the payoff for all the work of previous weeks. In unprecedented fashion for a girl of her age (according to her cardiologist),

Mia was up and out of hospital within two days.
She had amazing energy and minimal pain considering the nature of her surgery . She was active, comfortably climbing stairs the next morning.

Now, the incision in her chest is healing remarkably well. With only a few follow up visits, Mia continues on her amazing journey, and four weeks post surgery she has been given a clean bill of health. I believe the time Mia spent with Lee-Anne pre and post operation is the key to her remarkable recovery.

Also, my time at these appointments helped prepare me for my journey, so I could be there for Mia when she most needed me. Lee-Anne gave her extra support to me and my husband on the day of the operation too, keeping in touch and offering gentle advice when we needed it. For all of her care and support we are both enormously grateful and count ourselves very lucky to have come across such a dedicated, knowledgeable and supportive practitioner and friend.

I encourage anyone facing surgery for themselves or with their children, to take the time beforehand to set up a successful recovery with Lee-Anne McLeod.

<![CDATA[Way behind at school - no long fearful for my son]]>Sun, 20 Jul 2014 03:06:32 GMThttp://the-fusion-therapy.com/our-clients-blog/way-behind-at-school-no-long-fearful-for-my-sonPicture"He'd have terrible melt downs."
About Jayden's future: My doubts, my fears of him having learning delays and a learning disability is now totally alleviated. For the first time, I'm hopeful and positive about him.

                                               It's such a relief!
With extensive bullying at school, he’d have major breakdowns and nightmares. He wasn’t coping well at school. This just added to his extreme frustration with his learning disability - maths, reading, spelling and focus.

Our last school report was very positive with large improvements in all areas.

The teacher now says he’s a keen learner, conscientious student, and now takes pride in his work. She also commented that he’s a very polite student and a little boy with a strong sense of justice! He is now able to stand up for himself and others in the play ground and has lots of new friends.

Our life at home has also changed with a happier boys who’s now more communicative and patient with his little sisters. We now take he to the park to do his homework and when he has a problem he takes himself off for a run or climb on the monkey bars and then comes straight back to his homework.

I know for certainty that Lee-Anne's work has helped him and my family a great deal We all now have a better, happier life thanks to Lee-Anne MacLeod.

<![CDATA[Phobia of face painting - no long distraught & hysterical]]>Sun, 20 Jul 2014 03:05:29 GMThttp://the-fusion-therapy.com/our-clients-blog/phobia-of-clowns-face-painting-no-long-distraught-hystericalPicture"We have our girl back again'
We’ve been working for a short few weeks with Lee-Anne MacLeod to address our daughters phobia of face painting.
We had tried to conquer the fear ourselves over a period of 4 years but to no avail.
Lee-Anne quickly established a positive, safe and fun environment and relationship with our 5 year old almost instantly.

                 The results exceeded our expectations.

Our daughter loves her appointments with Lee-Anne MacLeod. She really looks forward to them and the results speak volumes.

When my daughter was a toddler, a young boy jumped in front & growled loudly. His face was painted as a tiger. This terrified our daughter to such a degree that even four years later, she was still terrified of any 'painted faces' and had horrific nightmares. Even normal make-up for a school concert distressed her and she'd refuse to attend. Previously, she would have demanded to leave a party and been absolutely distraught and hysterical if there was any 'face painting' involved.
This past weekend, our daughter attended two parties where there were many children with painted faces and she was able to enjoy the fun, fully participate and was comfortably interacting with everyone.

We are so pleased for her and are really thrilled to be working with Lee-Anne, whom we cannot thank and recommend highly enough.
